JOB Location: - Ahmedabad

Roles and Responsibilities

Compliance Management:

> Ensure Total Compliance with relevant laws and regulations as appropriate - Measured monthly through score card with evidence against approved checklist
> Verification of compliance reporting by Functions in order to identify wrong reporting and non-compliances > Escalate wrong compliance reporting and initiate timely appropriate action for logical closure of identified non compliances and regular tracking till appropriate closure
> Proactive action to avert and achieve reduction in financial penalties & prevent and avoid prosecution proceedings arising out of noncompliance of applicable laws, provisions, rules & regulations:

> Timely & accurate compliance reporting month on month- Measured monthly through adherence to SLA for compliance reporting
> Render effective support in handling the Compliance Process Audit by external agency.

Recovery & General Legal advisory services :

> Support to recover Bad Debts by way of initiating legal proceedings:-
i) Issuance of Legal Notice;

ii) Constitution of Lok Adalats;

iii) Filing of Civil Suits;

iv) Filing of Sec 138 Complaints &

v) Initiation of IBC proceedings.

> Generation of accurate MIS on recovery, month on month

> General Advisory Legal Analysis; Bank Guarantees; Affidavits, Bonds, Undertakings; Ts & Cs for Promotional Programmes etc.

Litigation Management:

> Management of day-to-day litigation in Circle viz. internal fact finding, drafting reply/ written statements, affidavits, attend courts, coordinate with counsels and ensure compliance of Court Orders

> Generate & maintain MIS and Tracker
> Legal Expense tracking, provisioning and processing

> Contingent Liability Reporting

Legal Notices Management:

> Ensure no Legal Notice culminates into penalty / financial impact / prosecution - Targets based on past trends and need to reduce to minimal levels in finite time period
> Generate & maintain MIS and Tracker

> Coordination and relation management with Govt. bodies and authorities

Contract Management:

> Contract drafting and ensure appropriate execution (Property acquisition; Service and supply; NDAs etc.)

> Generate & maintain MIS and Tracker

Desired Candidate Profile / Qualification

1. Degree in Law from a reputed University

2. 3-5 years of experience in handling legal matters of the organization, in Corporate Sector with knowledge of state laws for Gujarat and MPCG;

3. Well-versed with Courts functioning and proceedings

4. Should be able to draft Contracts

Good command over MS Office (Word, XL & PPT)
